"Have you even been in love? Horrible, isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens your heart and it means someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses. You build up this whole armor, for years, so nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...You give them a piece of you. They don't ask for it. They do something dumb one day like kiss you, or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leave s you crying in the darkness, so a simple phrase like "maybe we should just be friends" or "how very perceptive" turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a body- hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you -apart pain. I hate love" Neil Gaiman

"Watching you walk out of my life does not make me bitter or cynical about love. But rather makes me realise that if I wanted so much to be with the wrong person how beautiful it will be when the right one comes along."

In the arithmetic of love, one plus one equals everything, and two minus one equals nothing. "
Mignon McLaughlin

"Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale. "

"We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars."
Oscar Wilde

"There's a difference between beauty and charm. A beautiful woman is one I notice. A charming woman is one who notices me."
John Erskine

"When I saw you, I was afraid to talk to you. When I talked to you, I was afraid to hold you. When I held you, I was afraid to love you. And now that I love you, I am afraid to lose you"

"Love comes to those who still hope although they've been disappointed, to those who still believe although they've been betrayed, and to those who need love because they've been hurt before."

"If I could reach up and hold a star for every time you've made me smile, the entire evening sky would be in the palm of my hand."

I'm growing guts in pots out back in hopes of making a medicine that will ease my nerves and give me strength.

it may seem lame but my voice is giving out and I've been walking for days, its about time that I pull up the sheets and settle in for a long winters nap.

maybe if you were a year earlier I could believe your sweet words but its to the point where I've heard it all before and I feel like its hard to trust and believe in something so overplayed.
and oh my, you're so cliche.
